Good Times

Here are photos of the great food I was served at a luncheon for the Association of Bridal Consultants Orange County on Tuesday. It was held at the new Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach. I will talk about the venue and other vendors in another post.

The salad was made with endive, watercress and apples. It was served with a herbed goat cheese crostini.

The entree was an onion smothered rib eye with potatoes. Yummy and done just right.

And this fabulous dessert was a Peach Galette with Creme Fraiche. Oh My, it was served warm with the flakiest of crusts.

MMM Raspberry!

I just received an email from Sprinkles, and they have raspberry cupcakes. Raspberry frosting & raspberry cake can you say y-u-m-m-y! But only for a short time, of course! You know where I will be on the 7th!

Venues of the Southland~The City Club

The City Club on Bunker Hill in Downtown Los Angeles
I recently had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding at the City Club. They are located on the 54th floor of the Wells Fargo Building in Downtown LA. At the wedding I worked we were only there for the reception. The ceremony above is in the room we had cocktails in. It is a fabulous location with stunning view. Although, the reception takes place facing east so you can't really see the sunset or the ocean. But if you want a 'City' venue and want to be above it all then this is the place. It is the highest venue in LA.

Beverage Monday

MMM, Chocolate!
I am going to veer away from actual beverages today and talk about chocolate. I saw this product in the summer edition of Bride and Bloom and thought it would be a perfect fit for Beverage Monday. It is for the wine lover who happens to love chocolate, too. It is called CocoaVinoso™. It is a premium dark chocolate that is blended exclusively from the highest quality cacao beans imported from around the world. You can enjoy it by itself or pair it with the corresponding red wine. They have all kinds of other fun pairings on their website. Check them out.
Cheers,

Going down the aisle

Ok I don't usually prowl You Tube, but this was emailed to me. It surely is a different way to go down the aisle! You usually see choreographed dances when the bridal party is introduced, but not going down the aisle!
