More Pictures!

Here are some more photos from the special event. This time we are featuring tabletops for Weddings.

You know I just loved the one below! It is described as Hot is not only for the tropics. By mixing Bamboo with non Asian elements you come up with a modern look. I love the floral chandelier the placesetting and the fun centerpiece.

This one is called One (wo)man's trash is another (wo)man's treasure. It is used with discarded greenery. Don't you love the personalized napkins?

They called this one Classic Design. Always in Style. The return of opulent, formal decor without the over the top abundance. I love the Croquembouche and the bride's bouquet just laying there on the seat.

Enjoy,

Beautiful Cakes

Here are some stunning cakes I had the opportunity to view at The Special Event. A trade show for the event industry. It was held in San Diego this year so of course I had to go!

Aren't the flowers fabulous? This is from San Diego Desserts.

This adorable one is from Bon Bon.

This fun cupcake tower was made by Cupcakes Squared.

I love the shell topper on this one made by Dazzle M Desserts.

I don't know what I like more on this Tiffany Blue cake the lacing up the front and crystals all over the cake or the tiara and veil. Made by Babycakes.

Enjoy.

Venues of the Southland~The Resort at Pelican Hill

The Resort at Pelican HillIf money is not an issue put this one on your list. It is a fabulous place with lots of attention to detail. They only hold one wedding a day and you have lots of perks with that. You are in a separate area called Mar Vista. You are able to relax and get ready in a dedicated Bridal Suite with a make up area and a hair stylist's shampoo bowl. You can have your ceremony outside on the lawn or in La Cappella, both with fabulous views. You also get a Wedding Butler to help you with various tasks in your complimentary Wedding Night Villa. So when thinking luxury and ocean views think Newport Coast and the Resort at Pelican Hill.

The Rotunda & Wedding Lawn. It is from a distance and the lawn is in an oval.

Their chargers and place setting choices.

The Bridal Suite is below and the MarVista Ballroom is above. The lawn is behind me.

Inside La Cappella. You can have an indoor ceremony or and after hours lounge.

Inside the one of the Villas. The Villa's bathroom. and the view from it.

There are several private cabanas in the pool area.

Pretty Pictures

The photos below are from an event I went to at The Resort at Pelican Hill earlier this month. I will share more on the venue later this week. It is quite stunning. There were four different tablescapes in black, white & yellow. The linens were from Fusion Linens. Chameleon Chairs provided some of the chairs. MeeMaw's English Toffee provided us with favors. Yummy! The chargers and the place settings were the venuues.

Enjoy,

Oscar Day!

This is a favorite day of mine. I can't wait to see what everybody is wearing and who is going to win. I have been watching for years. I'm not sure if I like the move to February though. I do like the move to Sunday nights. I have never been one of the fans that are watching from the street. I was raised only a few miles away from Hollywood/Los Angeles, but I do prefer to watch from home.

Who's your favorite to win?

Happy Reading,

On a side note I have a computer again. It was a long six weeks with limited access. I hope I don't have to go through that again. Thank you everybody for your patience.
